Amor che fai?!

In this program dedicated to Italian Baroque music, we show that the songs of the 17th century were the pop songs of their time. Passionate ballads alternate with fiery declarations of love, revealing that the themes and emotions of the past are still strikingly relatable today. Intimate solos for the voice and lute by Caccini are combined with lively, dance-like melodies by Frescobaldi and Sances — all connected by the thread of love and its struggles.

There is also a theatrical version of this program, in which the musicians not only perform but also take the roles of actors. Music and theatre merge into a vibrant performance where passion, humor, and drama take turns on stage.
